Marc Bohan; 1960 -1989

  • As Laurent was forced to leave the House of Dior, Marc Bohan had a very distinctive and intriguing style which Dior was interested in, at that time he was another young designer whose work was unique and beautifully created, but kept the traditional techniques that Dior loved. Bohan was also the first to release the first women’s Dior perfume in 1963, then the men’s in 1966, which was a big turn of events for Dior, as they were slowly moving away from just clothes, and expanding and catering for a larger target audience, including watches. Creating famous ranges like Miss Dior and Dior Homme, Bohan definitely left his stamp in the 29 years he worked there as head designer.
